LovoBird Cards

Illustration Collection

Creating LovoBird cards is a blend of illustration, emotion, and functional design. The project was born out of a desire to create a collection that not only looks beautiful but also conveys feeling – joy, gratitude, and closeness.
Each card was made from scratch — starting with the first sketch in Procreate, refined by hand with attention to textures and details, and finished in Photoshop with precise print-ready composition. I wanted to preserve the handmade character while achieving a modern, clean look that fits today’s e-commerce design trends. LovoBird has always been more than just a project — it’s a small story about how illustration can become a product.
The cards quickly reached customers across the United Kingdom, and their positive reception exceeded all expectations.

From Procreate Sketches to Finished Greeting Cards

The Creation Process of LovoBird Illustrated Greeting Cards

Each card began with a sketch full of emotion and spontaneity. By combining Procreate and Photoshop, I created original illustrations that preserve the handmade character while meeting all professional printing and e-commerce standards. This process is a fusion of art, technique, and passion – from the first idea to the final LovoBird product.

1
Inspiration and Sketching in Procreate
Every project began with an idea – an emotion I wanted to capture on a card. Using my iPad and the Procreate app, I created sketches of characters, animals, and festive motifs, experimenting with composition and movement to make each illustration feel natural and warm.
2
Adding Color and Handmade Textures
In the next stage, I refined the color palette using custom brushes, textures, and effects inspired by pastel, watercolor, and pencil. Every detail was designed to look hand-drawn while maintaining the clarity and contrast required for print.
3
Final Assembly and Edits in Photoshop
After exporting from Procreate, I moved each project to Adobe Photoshop, where I adjusted contrast, removed artifacts, fine-tuned colors, and set margins. This was also the stage where alternative versions and 4-pack compositions were created.
4
Preparing for Print
Each design was exported at 148 × 148 mm, 300 DPI, in the CMYK color space. Cards were optimized for printing on 350 gsm uncoated paper, with proper bleed margins and safe areas for double-sided printing.
5
Series Design and Visual Testing
LovoBird collections were created around specific themes – such as Christmas animals or Valentine’s couples. I tested how colors and illustrations complemented each other within a 4-pack set and how they looked on product mockups before production.
6
Final Result and Market Launch
The completed designs were printed and released under the LovoBird brand. The series became a success in the UK market, combining handmade aesthetics with the clarity of modern e-commerce design. Each card represents a balance of art, emotion, and functional product design.
